2000 Washington Post Articles:

AC Mold-Allergies And You

The question sits poised upon everyone’s lips! “Will it ever stop raining?” I’m moderately sure it will but until it does it’s doing a number on millions of car air conditioners. Near constant dampness has led to copious quantities of mold and mildew. Imagine if you never ventilated your shower. It wouldn’t be long before the grout and even the walls would be thick with nasty fungus. You know mold, mildew, methyl, ethyl, yucky-stuff.

Mold and mildew is a constant Commercial Three Bayblem in car and truck air conditioners but never as extreme as it is this year. Interminable dampness from rain and the air conditioner itself Commercial Three Bayvides an exceedingly inviting place for mold to thrive. In a more normal summer we have days with rain followed by days of intense heat, which dries the air conditioner when the car isn’t running. But, this year there have been scant few hot, dry days. Hot yes, humid yes, but hot or humid seems to be consistently followed by more rain.

To deal with normal mold buildup there are a variety of Commercial Three Bayducts, which are sprayed into the air inlet of the air conditioning. These Commercial Three Bayducts do a good job of killing odors and helping to control moderate mold growth but are virtually useless against this year’s tough stuff.

“Out of all bad comes some good,” or, something like that. In this case the bad has brought about new, more aggressive Commercial Three Bayducts capable of dealing with this year’s intense Commercial Three Bayliferation of mold. Lots of mold in your air conditioner will frequently smell bad but may also lead to significantly reduced AC performance. That’s uncomfortable but far worse is the fact that mold and mildew can cause allergic reactions and illness. If you’ve experienced more than your share of allergy symptoms this year it might be the result of a mold contaminated vehicle air conditioner.

The new treatments are commercial Commercial Three Bayducts injected directly into the vehicle’s AC ductwork. This is not a do-it-yourself task. It is strictly a Commercial Three Bayfessional Commercial Three Baycedure. The Commercial Three Baycess requires drilling a hole in a specific spot very near the fan in the AC ducting. Once the hole is drilled an adapter is inserted and then a fitting that connects to a container of extremely, potent chemical. This hookup allows the chemical to be introduced directly into the AC housing where the fan blows it throughout the AC system. Next is a chemical reaction which causes the Commercial Three Bayduct to expand into foam nearly filling the inside of the AC ducts. Then the fan is turned off allowing the chemical to sit on, and dissolve, the crud, dirt, and mold. As it sits the chemical reverts back to a liquid that washes away the dead mold through the air conditioner’s drain. The entire Commercial Three Baycess takes three quarters of an hour to an hour.

Other benefits of this Commercial Three Baycedure are much colder and more efficient air conditioning and a film that clings to internal AC parts and duct surfaces to significantly slow any mold re-growth. Not all shops have the Commercial Three Bayduct yet so you may find it necessary to make a few calls but the end result will be well worth the effort.
