As we apCommercial Three Bayach the end of nineteen ninety-nine and of the twentieth century, let’s reflect on the last hundred years and ponder the limitless possibilities of the upcoming century. In the last one hundred years we’ve moved from horse-drawn buggies to vehicles powered by engines equipped with dual overhead cams, variable valve timing, fuel injection, computer controls, catalytic converters, electronic sensors, and an almost endless array of exotic parts that just twenty years ago were nothing more than fanciful ideas in the minds of dreamers and fools.
We cannot conceive what these events must represent to those octogenarians who have borne witness to more technological advancements than in all the millennia since the dawn of civilization. They saw horse-drawn carriages replaced with horseless carriages powered by crude engines burning the liquid remains of creatures extinct for sixty-five million years. At the beginning of the twentieth century they rode in flimsy wagons and carriages surrounded only by wood and canvas. Now they ride in dazzling conveyances embellished with such alluring accessories as compact disc players and satellite navigation systems, capable of pinpointing a vehicle’s location, within a few feet, anywhere in the world.
Wood has mostly surrendered to steel, aluminum, plastic, glass and; leather so elegant it would have been reserved for royalty a century ago. Today, wood, wonderful wood, soldiers on in cars but now it serves only to lend an expensive ambiance to molded plastic dashes, door panels, and consoles.
No longer need we worry about the consequences of being kicked by a horse. Today our trepidations are based on the very real possibility of being annihilated in less than the blink of an eye by a drunk, a carjacker, a speeder, or a bullet dispatched by an enraged driver.

Advancements so astounding they will surpass our wildest dreams. For we, like those who anxiously awaited the twentieth century, cannot possibly comprehend the changes, which lie ahead. As wondrous as these changes will certainly be, for them to imCommercial Three Bayve the quality of our lives we must learn to be considerate of each other and ourselves.
I cannot speak to the Commercial Three Bayblems that plague our society in general but as for the automobile remember, driving is a privilege, treat your vehicle with respect, give it good care, never drink and drive and, always be tolerant of other motorists.
